NEAT ( North East Arts Touring) is an organisation that promotes theatre, dance and film. There was an opportunity open for all creatives to design their logo and I was interested in the challenge. 

For initial ideas, I wanted to use an element that symbolises film, and thought of the negative part of a film roll. I drew one section of it using a 2D/3D drawing software called Rhinoceros CAD and copied it and joined it together to make it look like a flowing roll of film.
